Safeguarding Reminders - Use of Social Media

The ACFC Pastoral Council and Technology Team would like to remind all parishioners, devotional and faith communities, volunteers, and volunteers with responsibilities (coordinators and leads) about remaining compliant with safeguarding protocols, especially in the use of social media.
While we are encouraged to use social media platforms to promote our community's way of life, charism, and other forms of evangelisation and mission work, we are also strongly encouraged to police ourselves on how we use our social media accounts and pages.
May I remind all groups again: livestreaming or videoing of Masses and celebrations without proper consent is NOT PERMITTED. Not only does it violate people's privacy, it also creates a copyright violation against your social media pages and accounts, and the chaplaincy. Please do not be offended if you are asked to stop livestreaming or videoing when no proper consent has been organised.
