How to use the Auckland Catholic Filipino Chaplaincy identity consistently across social media and printed documents. When in doubt, pick the version made for the surface - not the one that happens to be handy.

01 · OUR MARKS
Every ACFC touchpoint uses one of these three. Don't redraw the knot, recolour it, or separate the wordmark from the icon.
02 · COLOUR WAYS
Use full colour on light backgrounds. On dark backgrounds or photography, use the reversed (white) version so the mark stays legible.
Red & gold on white or light, uncluttered backgrounds.
ON LIGHTSolid white for dark backgrounds, photos and print where colour isn't available.
ON DARK03 · WHERE TO USE WHICH
This is the rule that matters most. The seal is built for the page; the icon and lockup are built for the screen.
Use the icon alone for profile pictures and avatars, or the horizontal lockup for banners and posts. Never the seal — its wrap-around text turns to mush at small sizes.

Use the circular seal on letterheads, official documents, certificates and formal notices. The full name around the ring reads as authoritative on the page.

Social posts, captions, body copy and on-screen UI. Clean, modern and highly legible at any size.

They're already on every computer, so nothing needs installing.
06 · CLEAR SPACE & MINIMUM SIZE
Keep clear space of at least the width of the ring around the mark. Nothing — text, photos or edges — inside that margin.
Minimum sizes: icon 24px, lockup 120px wide, seal 40px. Below these, detail is lost.

07 · DO & DON'T
Full colour on a clean, light background.
Reversed white on dark backgrounds.
Use the lockup intact, with clear space.
Use the seal large and clear on documents.
Stretch or squash it.
Rotate or tilt the mark.
Recolour the red or gold.
Add shadows, glows or gradients.
Place colour on busy / low-contrast backgrounds.
The reversed (white) mark vanishes on light backgrounds.
Shrink the seal until its ring text is unreadable.
Crop or cut off the seal's outer text.
